Stanly County Schools One-to-One
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007Stanly County Schools has started a one-to-one at Albermarle Elementary in 4th and 5th grades. Albermarle middle school will add seventh and eighth graders next year. Albermarle High School will follow with a true 1:1 where all 8-12th graders will take them home.

Moorseville City Schools One-to-One
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007I learned yesterday that Moorseville City Schools is rolling out MacBooks to all 3-12th graders by August 2009. All teaching staff and administration will have them by February 2008. All laptop carts will be transitioned to Moorseville’s K-2 schools. The superintendent in Moorseville is the former superintendent from Henricho County Virginia.

Sony Reader $299 @ Target
Sunday, November 11th, 2007New Sony Reader holds about 160 eBooks. The buttons are intuitive and it only took about 30 seconds to get to page one of the first book.
The screen is about the size of a small paperback - small, but easy on the eyes.
Not sure how well these will sell.
